We agree on what should be repaired, what must remain untouched, and how the finished image will be used.
The work is completed by hand, then reviewed with you before the print-ready file is delivered.
A better source makes a better restoration
You do not need special equipment to request an estimate. For the finished restoration, these simple steps help the camera preserve every usable detail.
Place the print near a bright window, out of direct sun. Turn off the phone flash and watch for reflections.
Hold the camera directly above the center of the photograph. Fill the frame without cutting off its edges.
Avoid screenshots, social-media copies, or automatic AI repair. Upload the unedited file whenever possible.
For a large display print, a flatbed scan or carefully captured full-resolution camera file may still be recommended.

I approach an old photograph first as a portrait—not simply as a damaged surface.
Restoration should recover clarity, tone, and physical detail while respecting the person, the period, and the original photographer's intention. My work combines careful photographic judgment with modern restoration tools, always with the goal of making the image feel present again rather than newly invented.
Each project receives personal attention, whether it is a small family snapshot, a formal nineteenth-century portrait, or a newspaper image being prepared for display.
